REJOICE!

by Brenda P. Turner (Posthumously)

Can’t rejoice – you say A bad day – a bad season, I have a story to tell you I’ll give you a reason.

God formed us one day Before the world was framed, He called us And chose us And gave us a name.

This Omnipotent was not quite through, He knew in His heart

there was more work to do.

So, he fashioned a planet and put His Son on it, a Saviour, a potter a shepherd, a King, what Man could we want but what does it mean?

Yeshua – our Savior Loving, perfect and nice, this trip to the cross gave us life twice. Rejoice!

Jesus – our potter Can often be rough, He molds us, and shapes us so, we can be tough over-comers. Rejoice!

The Lord is our Shepherd that’s what the word has to say, He leads by still waters day after day, Rejoice!

When the terrors of life cause us to hide like, a branch bearing fruit We learn to abide, in the Vine – Rejoice!

Jesus Ascended to heaven A conquering King, Chief Intercessor a Lion, a Lamb, the Great I Am.

He’s Jehovah Rophae a Healer indeed, our source of support He’s all pilgrims need.

So — let’s bless this Great Sovereign with a loud voice, Rejoice with me — again I say Rejoice!
